We Artisan Well is a Fair Trade Guaranteed organization. We truly believe and follow all Fair Trade Principles in our entire supply chain. As we all know Fair Trade Day is celebrated on 2nd Saturday, on the month of May. The day is mainly celebrated to raise awareness and shows dedication towards Fair Trade. In order to shine a spotlight on the transformative power of the Fair Trade business model and its positive impact on people’s lives and communities. Every year, the theme of the campaign changes, to focus on a specific topic that is dear to the community. For 2024, the theme of the campaign was “Business Revolution”, so following this we also followed this concept, and celebrated by holding placards, written supports to business Revolution, supports FT Practices, support to sell FT Products and many more.
We organized a meeting in which our Secretary and our FT Consultant share few words regarding this concept, and explain how this system of work bring changes in life of many underprivileged people.
Our endeavor is always to showcase our original producers to our buyers through them they will be visualized by the original consumer, so we click pictures of our Artisans holding placards of “I made your Products” this will bring the transparency of the entire system of work.
We also taken the environment point in our celebration, by planting trees in our premises which not only enhance beautification of the area but also contribute greenery which ultimately helps our nature earth and helping to mitigate global warming.
This annual celebration serves as a global platform to raise awareness about Fair Trade principles and practices, promoting social and economic justice. By showcasing the success stories of Fair Trade Enterprises, WFTO aims to inspire consumers, businesses, and policymakers to embrace Fair Trade as a powerful tool for creating a more equitable and sustainable world. World Fair Trade Day reinforces WFTO’s commitment to fostering Fair Trade relationships and driving systemic change for a new global economy. So this is how we celebrated world Fair Trade day this year.
